Scholarship & Grant Applications
We welcome applications for scholarships and grants. Learn more about each and download applications below.
While many scholarships are academic- or needs-based, ours are based on each student’s holistic achievements: personal qualities, school and community involvement, family life and academics. We encourage each senior at an SBISD high school to apply. The Bright Stars of SBISD event slated for May has been cancelled. We are disappointed we cannot celebrate with all of you.
Applications were due Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 4:00 pm. The SBEF Scholarship committee is gratified by the number of scholarship applications that poured in from seniors. Applications will be reviewed as soon as the committee can meet.

Faculty, teachers and volunteers are invited to dream big about education-enhancing district and campus grants. Campus grants are up to $5,000; district grants may be larger. A committee of SBEF board members carefully reviews each application and awards grants to the most innovative. Each year, the committee is impressed by creative project ideas that challenge students to excel.
Applications were due on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 4:00 pm. *All 25 copies must be submitted along with the required signatures.
Due to administrative offices being closed, the process for reviewing grant applications has been delayed. SBISD administrators have asked us to hold off on awarding 2020 grants until they can assess unique needs that surface during the coronavirus. Grants will be re-assessed and awarded at a later date.
