SBEF announces mentoring scholarship

This month, SBISD organized a community event with a focus on mentorship, relationship building, and conversation. The evening was organized to commemorate and honor the 20th anniversary of SBISD’s SpringBoard Mentoring Program as well as National Mentoring Month.

At the reception, the Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) made an announcement about the establishment of a new scholarship fund, named Spring Branch ISD Mentoring Programs Scholarship Fund. The fund was established through a generous donation from Debra and Craig Aitken in honor of the 20th anniversary of SpringBoard. The scholarship will be available to students who have benefited from a mentor to assist them in achieving their T-2-4 dreams. To launch the scholarship fund, Cece Thompson and Debra Aitken presented a check for $2,000.
